Who are Asian Americans?

ml-saaf

" Asian American" is a broad umbrella term used to describe racial-ethnic groups that sometimes share little other than ancestry from one hemisphere of the globe. As a group, Asian Americans are the fastest growing minority population in the U.S. Yet, few studies have been done to illuminate the rich diversity of Asian Americans. This is one of the reasons that the ML-SAAF team is so passionate about the ML-SAAF study. We need to know more about Asian Americans and, particularly, about how different subgroups of Asian Americans parent; how youth process their lives in America; and the issues with which both parents and youth struggle.

We invite your thoughts on the topic. Feel free to send email to mlsaaf@ssa.uchicago.edu with articles, essays, or other works that are relevant to Asians in America. In the meantime, check out some of the Asian and Asian American resources below. We will use this blogroll to keep you updated on additional resources.
